What's The Most Important Physical Attribute? Your Smile

By BigCheezyOctober 25, in Online Dating. Ok, so I'm on a dating site to hopefully meet a SO. This dating site has a spot on the profile where people write their "top 6 things they can't live without". I've seen on numerous occasions women that have wrote "toothbrush". I have bad teeth, but I do brush my teeth every day. Some find crooked teeth unattractive, but I really can't do anything about it. I usually use the Japanese word "yaeba" to describe my teeth, since in Japan, yaeba is often seen as a "cute" thing, and not seen bad teeth online dating a disgusting thing like here in the states.

So, my questions are: do you think people that write "toothbrush" on their list typically have good teeth and are looking for someone similar? Or am I just making too big of a deal out of this? Upload a picture onto that site of yourself with a smile that exposes your teeth, bad teeth online dating. Then they can judge from that. You are making to big a deal out of it personality and style go a long way if a girl likes you teeth won't bad teeth online dating that big of a deal.

It's all a matter of preference. Just like some guys prefer blondes to brunettes, some people prefer to date others with bad teeth online dating teeth. myself included. I'm slightly obsessive about my teeth cleaning and I take pride in my straight, white, bad teeth online dating, healthy teeth.

It's one of those things I'd expect a partner to have as well. If they're a little crooked, it's not too big of a deal to me, it's mostly about hygiene. A guy I know who I would have described as a lady's man very charming, dated lots of attractive women and is a successful dj for a radio station has very bad, crooked teeth.

None of the girls who were dating him seemed to mind. My assumption is that if someone wrote toothbrush for one of the things they can't live without, it was simply regarding dental hygiene and having a fresh, clean mouth and teeth. Waking up in the morning and brushing away morning breath or using the toothbrush to get rid of lunch breath or coffee breath. I wouldn't assume it meant a perfect pair of Donny Osmond-white perfectly straight teeth.

I think dirty teeth are what they are talking about, not crooked teeth. Crooked teeth add personality but "green' teeth don't. I think "toothbrush" as an entry on that list usually just means they couldn't think of anything more interesting to put down! I would say that they probably do think dental hygiene is important, as most of us do, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they'll rule you out completely if your teeth aren't perfectly straight or movie star white.

In other words, yes, you're reading too much into it because you're insecure about your teeth. Our insecurities can make us interpret things in weird ways Yaeba is a Japanese word that means "double tooth. It's way more expensive there, so there are a lot of celebrities, models, and what not, that have crooked teeth. Oh, and, as I mentioned, I do brush my teeth and keep them clean. I just didn't have braces as a kid and so they are crooked. I AM probably just making too big of a deal out of it.

Oh well. Thanks for responses everyone. On a deep, unconscious level -- people are attracted to health. I think this is because unconsciously we regard unhealthy people as a vulnerability to our own well-being. So "bad" teeth that communicates poor health symptomatic of bad nutrition, bad teeth online dating, poor hygiene, or these days smoking meth or coke is something that people will avoid in deference to people with healthier teeth. I believe this reaction occurs on a deep level.

I believe it is articulated bad teeth online dating doyathink does because of this deep sense. In the developed world where so many of us with some money have access to everything from routine dentistry to sonic whiteners and cosmetic implants, the people with the unhealthier teeth tend to stand out more than in other less-developed and looks-conscious parts of the world. Here in America the vanity surrounding perfect teeth is absurd, in my view.

We all compare ourselves bad teeth online dating Larry King and his smile. In all seriousness, healthiness as it is evidenced by our bodies is a mix of qualities. No one has it perfect. Add in positive spirit, bright eyes, a love of life, and a healthy respect and regard for others and watch out. People will flock to you as flies do to a flame. I dont think your making a big deal out of it at all.

People do unfortunately place a lot on 'quality' of teeth in a person. So if your not that comfortable with yours, thats fair enough.

doesn't mean your making a big deal about it. I dont have perfect teeth, but i do prefer nice teeth in a boy. But 'nice' is to the person viewing. One person may think 'eww no' while someone else may think yes. My partner, his teeth, arn't that straight, bad teeth online dating, one is really crooked, but i dont care - its him and i love his smile I have a serious problem with this too, bad teeth online dating.

My boyfriend just told me today that he finds my teeth a turn-off. They broke in an accident many years ago and, although I had them bonded, they need to be fixed again. It is so bad that he does not want to kiss me, even though he still does it because he loves me It may sound weird, but I find some bad teeth attractive, I think Japanese culture has rubbed off on me a little bit.

But even if they don't find "bad teeth", whatever that may be, attractive, they should like you for you. If they don't like your teeth then that's that, the only thing you could possibly do is get braces, but that's a pain I find some imperfection to be more attractive than near perfection.

Seriously, for me really beautiful people I do of course notice, bad teeth online dating, but people with slight imperfections I find to be more attractive for some reason. However, I once new a woman very well who was a wonderful friend and quite beautiful in every way but one: Her teeth were healthy, bright and full, but really, really, super crooked. I do believe that she could have fixed them with braces. Looking back at it I think it may have been a turn-off not so much that her teeth were so crooked but that she hadn't cared enough to fix them she had money for sure.

I bad teeth online dating we even talked about it. It was kind of like someone who never, ever brushed their otherwise beautiful hair. Why wouldn't you brush your hair? What does this mean about you? I have the same worry as you when I see "toothbrush" listed. Thanks for posting your question. I think crooked teeth on a girl can be very cute, I just wish it worked that way for guys.

Generally, if a woman writes that she wants a toothbrush, a nice smile, or "good dental hygeine," on a dating site, it really means that she expects absolutely perfect white, bad teeth online dating, perfectly straight teeth, set in an extremely handsome face, or rather that she won't respond if you if your pictures don't show as much or unless you have indicated the top income bracket or an MD after your name.

She could be lbs and have dentures, won't matter. This is the nature of dating sites. Steer clear of women who have lots of physical requirements that people can't do anything about, height above 5'11" for instance, unless she is at least 5'9" herself. These types are almost universally shallow and always looking for upgrades. Asking that prospects be "in shape" is ok, because that is something people can change. So, seeing "toothbrush" on the list might just mean the person needs to feel clean.

Doesn't necessarily mean they would feel dirty if they dated someone with bad teeth. I have a love for perfect teeth so for me, if It was my list i would write "toothbrush" as something more for dental hygiene and if i did not like bad teeth, I would simple state my preferance for "nice teeth".
